Since the establishment of Sundrop, we had been doing various social impact programs.
But now, more than ever we see there is a vital need for companies such as us to create positive impacts.
Because of that, we launched our Sundrop Berbakti in June 2022 as an initiative to give back to communities in Sarawak.
Sundrop is a Sarawak-Based company that aims to enrich and brings joy to our customers and the local communities. Positive change requires a collective effort from many including a company such as us. Therefore Sundrop seeks to: – ensure that children won’t stop schooling just because of their family’s financial constraints – women have equal opportunities as men – provide more platforms for people from indigenous communities to be elevated through economic empowerment – to ensure future generations have a livable planet by working on activities to combat climate change.
The 3 Pillars represent our Key Focus Areas. We as a company are committed to giving back to the community and these 3 Pillars will work as a guide to our activities and initiatives.
These are some projects that we organised. We are aspiring to be more active on projects relating to our 3 Pillars.
At Sundrop Fruit Juices we are committed to uplifting local agriculture and with it the livelihood of our native population as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Program. We do this by paying good prices for local produce and processing it into an exportable product. In return, the farmers must follow our guidelines and adopt ethical farming practices like proper fruit harvesting, storage, transportation and of course, no pesticides.
Look what we had done.
On 22 July 2022, we join break fast with the orphans at Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib, Kuching, Sarawak – PERYATIM Kuching. There were about 110 orphans there. Sundrop also donated some household goods for the orphanage.
We brought about 30 children from the Salvation Army Kuching to the Sungei Marong Agri Farm at Kota Samarahan and to our Sundrop Factory to provide them knowledge on agriculture and the F&B industry to the children which might also interest them to pursue careers in any of the industries.
